Some evidence of the fun had at Danny's birthday celebration.

Winter in Colorado = fun ski days with Mel and Danny!

So here we are in Colorado for our 2nd Christmas. Danny is again working, but my good friends Ernie & Vicki took good care of me this afternoon. Our celebration took place yesterday with a morning snowshoe trip to the Crags with Scout and some present opening in the afternoon. Unfortunately our Christmas wasn't a white one, but none the less merry. We hope you all had a merry Christmas as well and that your New Year is a prosperous one!

December Guests

Our good college friend Jordan, and his girlfriend Sarah, stayed with us last weekend. We didn't get to spend much time together with the wedding and all, but I did get to spend some quality time with these two! Meet Ruben and Duke.

November Snow Storm

A day filled with 6 inches of snow, a lot of indoor time for the humans, and a lot of outdoor time for the dogs. Scout loves snow, especially when it is packed into a ball and rolling down the sidewalk.

Hiking Cheyenne Canyon

It's been a while since we've updated the blog. Our lives are fairly uneventful, yet we manage to stay busy. Mondays are for Scout's training, Tuesdays are for running Jack Quinn's 5K, Wednesdays are for live bluegrass at Front Range BBQ, and the rest of the week always happens to fill up.

Last weekend we explored Cheyenne Canyon for the first time. It's in the ritzy area of town, behind The Broadmoor hotel. Luckily the leaves are still in the process of changing here at 6,000 feet. We'll be running/hiking a 6K on the Columbine Trail in the canyon on November 2nd. Happy fall!

New Toys

Yesterday was Scout's first trip to PetsMart where we picked up some treats and Chuy the Chipmunk! This a rare moment where Scout doesn't have Chuy by the jugular.

Meet Scout. She's the new addition to the Sebeck family.

Sunday, we attempted our 2nd 14er. Mt. Bierstadt is just off I-70 west of Denver. Unfortunately, this means LOTS of traffic and a crawl home worth sleeping through! The views are amazing and we were lucky enough to start at 6 in the morning and catch the sun coming up.

That jagged little piece to the left is known as "Sawtooth". The back side is a pretty difficult scramble and kept us from continuing to the top of Mt. Evans on the other side. As you know, more pictures are on our Flickr site.

We'll be headed to the TX panhandle this weekend to pick up the new puppy.
